Food manufacturing pest control

A food business must –

  1. a)         Not permit live animals in areas in which food is handled, other than seafood or other fish or shellfish; and
  2. b)         take all practicable measures to prevent pests entering the food premises; and
  3. c)         take all practicable measures to eradicate and prevent the harbourage of pests on the food premises and those parts of vehicles that are used to transport food.

Food and beverage premises can require more
frequent pest control services.

Our technicians will inspect the premises and develop a pest management plan customised to suit your business needs and a quote prepared.

Flying Insects

Our flying insect machines are installed indoors. Each machine covering an area of 35 metres squared. Flying insects enter the premises and are attracted by the light and then stick to the sticky board in the machine. Cooroy Termite and Pest Control can replace the sticky boards when required, frequency will depend on the flying insect pressure. Or if you prefer, sticky boards can be purchased from us and be replaced yourselves.

Cockroach treatments

For cockroaches, we are careful to treat any cracks or crevices where cockroaches can find harbourage.  Our technicians know little tricks of the trade, like treating the underside of your kitchen equipment where we can, so the chemical does not get mopped away, avoiding work surfaces.  They are always careful to treat the less obvious areas like bins and food serveries where food can be dropped on floors.

We have a pest control solution for areas with excessive electrical cables.

Licenses and Health and Safety Standards

Cooroy Termite and Pest Control has all the required insurances and licenses to operate pest control services for restaurant and bar businesses.  We have workplace health and safety measures in place and all our technicians are licensed and trained to meet all health regulations regarding food safety and pest control.

Pest Management Reporting

Often pest management will change with the seasons.  During those long hot humid months, ants are prolific, whilst in winter rats are seeking warmth and will nest indoors.

After each treatment when your pest management needs change, our technicians will provide a report with recommendations on any changes that need to be made to the treatment and the management of your pest service.
